Teamwork is built on mutual trust and respect. Although our sport is contested at the individual level, it is no surprise that greater results are achieved when we work together. This month especially show thanks to those who hold you accountable, push you when you need to be pushed, and carry you when you need to be carried. Together we'll make World Cup and Olympic dreams come true, starting with hometown heroes!

A big thank you to the Boydstun-Hovdey Ski Heritage Scholarship foundation for awarding 6 student-athletes with scholarships so that they may pursue the best winter sport ever - and their dreams! Second year, U10 Racer, Maya Gleason was among the recipients this year. She looks forward to "skiing on top of the mountains" - and perhaps someday following in the tracks of our hometown hero, Patty Bodystun-Hovdey. The Bodydstun-Hovdey Ski Heritage Scholarship, named after Patty Hovdey and her father John Boydstun was founded in 2007 for the purpose of helping local student-athletes pay for programming, race entries, and equipment. Fourteen years later, the foundation continues the tradition of ski racing in McCall with $4,000 awarded for the 21/22 season. Thanks to the shop guys at Home Town Sports for generating $2,000 for Boydstun-Hovdey Ski Heritage Scholarships by way of their Express Tune service! Home Town Sports charges $20 for Express Tune service; which then gets donated to the scholarship foundation. Need your skis tuned and waxed quickly? These guys will work late nights and long hours to make that happen for you and scholarships happen for MWSC athletes. Old-School. Rad. Sweet. This describes the 21/22 winning logo beanie hat design. It's retro shapes resemble an Atari game played with a joystick. It's jagged lines create images of steep mountains best descended by skis. Its colors of lime green and blue razz give it some sweet flav! Congrats to Koen Smelser, Big Mountain Freeskier, for winning the Beanie Hat Design Contest!
These are currently in production by VIE LLC, located just down the hill in Horseshoe Bend. MWSC's 21/22 Beanie will be available for purchase in December. Choose your's with a pom-pom OR without! Regardless, where it with heart for our world-class athletes!
Dryland Now for Go Time Later! Race, Big Mountain Freeski and Devo athletes have been preparing their bodies for go time. Monday and Wednesday afternoons at Legend Crossfit have been buzzing with quick feet and explosive bursts. Because when it's time to go, it's time to GO FAST!

Registration for BCBC is open to youth skiers (12-18 years of age). You don't have to be rostered on the team in order to participate in camp December 27-30, 2021. Cost is $299. Thank you Sponsors!
Been traveling to some cool spots this Fall with my son and his AA Bantam ice hockey team. While in Park City last weekend grabbing a quick bite at Wasatch Bagel & Grill, Sal and I sat down next to the 2008-2009 US Ski Team. Pictured in frames on the wall were team and action shots, including MWSC's Erik Fisher skiing at world record speed. Excited to watch more Olympic ski action this season!
Happy to call McCall my home,
Chris Costa
